FAT PAT

I love Fat Pat so I just have to put out all the information I find online about him. He was one of the Greatest rappers of all time. When you hear Pats music you get ingulfed in it and you feel what he is feeling. He is the greatest. Just keep in mind that I didn't write this.

FAT PAT - The music world has been deprived of another one of its sons. Much of the South mourned the loss of a man that stood tall amongst most men. Unfortunately, his potential was cut short by one of soceity's many ills, violence. His music made you 'love it man.' He was 'throwed in da game' and 'tops dropped' when spoke. He put 'twenty-five lighters on the dresser' and made you 'wanna be a baller.' Fat Pat was definitely primed to be the next super success story from Houston, Texas.

'If you only knew,' Houston shed tears on the announcement of Pat's passing, but his music lives on. He is an immortal figure that has earned a place in our hearts and tape decks. Screwed up member for life and death, he will forever be remembered.

Due to an overwhelming response by rap fans in the South, slain rap artist "Fat Pat's" debut album "Ghetto Dreams" sold over 20,000 copies during the first week of its release in Houston, Texas. This phenomenal album takes listeners on a mystical journey with up beat tempos and captivating tales of everyday life in the South. The originator of what is becoming widely renown as the "Screwed Up" sound, Fat Pat's posthumous success is definitely a testimonial to his memory. Wreckshop Records is continuously keeping ghetto dreams alive. The release of Fat Pat Greatest Hits, a double cd, hit the stores in February 2001.Due to an overwhelming response by rap fans in the South, slain rap artist "Fat Pat's" debut album "Ghetto Dreams" sold over 20,000 copies during the first week of its release in Houston, Texas. "Carnival Records" Salih Willams Shop

Just came from Carnival Records in Luling and chatted with my buddy who runs the shop for about an hour. Says Salih is living in Lockhart now and is doing some big things. It's a nice little shop and he is planning on making more room for more stuff. He is also hoping to open up another store somewhere. Don't know where just yet. Check this out, the watermelon thump (a town festival celebrating what else watermelon) is in the ladder part of June. We were just talking about doing some things in the shop during the festival, nothing is official just yet. Like having a Dj or an autograph session with some artists and maybe have some Rappers perform. Basically just making it a fun time at the shop. I'm keeping in contact with the store manager and discussing different possibilities for the event. I offered my Dj equipment for the event so I was thinking people could come in and show their skills on the 1's and 2,s. Ya know. I'm trying to set up an interview with Salih for the board, so Hopefully that gets off the ground. I will keep the board posted on what's happening. I was thinking maybe we could get a few people there to rep the Screw Shop or something during the fest. What yall think?

My girlfriend wanted me to mention her in my blog. So hello Liz.

Here is a little food for thought----If you give a little you will get back a bunch.

I think I made that up, but who knows I may have heard it somewhere and just not remembered. So until someone claims it I'm keeping it.

Peace

IT'S HOT DOWN HERE IN TEXAS

Hello everybody and welcome to my blog. I'm just going to skip all the small talk and get right into this. Texas Heater is a blog dedicated to me and everything I do or plan on doing, think about doing and never did.... yada yada yada, you get the picture.
It's also about THE GREAT STATE OF TEXAS that I live in, so in case you are from another state or another part of the world and you didn't know, it gets hot in Texas. Not only do we have hot weather, but we also have Hot chicks, Hot food (Mexican) and Hot music. So if you love hot stuff this is the place to be. I'll be putting up stuff from time to time so keep your eyes open!

Peace,
TONY-C
